The day will start with a hike to the top of El Farallon Cliff. This hike will let you experience beautiful tropical forest landscapes and you’ll learn more about the land’s herbs, foliage, natural medicines which are still being utilized by healers in the Dominican Republic today.
We will arrive at the entrance of the cave after hiking for around 25 minutes. Rappelling is not necessary. In fact, we have eco-friendly stairs which will bring you down into the cave’s depths. You will explore the vast chambers and caverns of the cave alongside our trained guides and see ancient formations within the cave. Take in the majesty of the Taino Indian petroglyphs and see where bats reside. We will exit through a completely separate part of the cave and return to base via our original hiking path. At this point we will relax and enjoy nachos, chips, sandwiches, or a hot dog along with water, juice, or soda.
