You will be flying from Punta Cana International Airport to Samana. The locals who tend the horses for the waterfall hike are from the nearby countryside. Gratuity is appreciated but should be given at your own discretion. Please note that the local horses are significantly smaller and skinnier than the breeds found in North America, rest assured that they are always well treated. You may choose to walk instead of riding a horse; it is about 25 minutes to the falls. The itinerary is subject to change depending on a number of variables.
