On arrival at the Jardin Frutal you are greeted by the guides and offered a refreshing fruit cocktail. Then follows a safety brief and demonstration which are all done in the shade inside the base so no standing around in the blazing sun. Incidentally their base is completely constructed out of ecologically friendly materials. Each rider is kitted out with a helmet and a segway. The guides make sure each rider can manoeuver their segway competently.

Your tours start off by passing through the grounds of the Punta Cana Ecological Reserve – home to some interesting flora and fauna including iguanas, an apiary (bee farm), a small sugar cane plot and a ranch.

The tour covers around 5-6miles of beach paths along some of the most heavenly private beaches and golf courses in Punta Cana. Here the sand is powdery soft and white and the sea is turquoise and flat calm.You’ll stop for a swim at the beach called Playa Serena next to the exclusive Tortuga Bay Villas(upwards of 800$US per night and not all inclusive!). Most probably you’ll have the whole beach to yourselves. You won’t see crowds of people here for sure. The tour also includes a refreshing swim in the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve (freshwater lagoons).

*To ensure the safety of all Segway operators, handheld electronic devices are prohibited on this tour. Pregnant women cannot ride the Segways, but they may follow along on the Segway Eco Tour in one of our comfortable electric golf carts (please contact us before booking for this option).
